Our Impact

Our Impact

A portion of every Betty Better Co sale supports organisations helping people leaving unsafe situations.

We don't make a campaign of it. We don't talk about it on book covers or in marketing emails. We don't put a badge on the homepage that says "X dollars donated to date." That's not what we're here for.

We just do it.

Why we don't talk about it more

Someone once said: "Kindness and giving isn't worth it if you need to talk about it." So this page is the one place it's mentioned, and that's how it'll stay.

We never want a buyer to feel manipulated into a purchase because of a cause. If you bought a Betty Better book because you wanted a Betty Better book — that's the deal. The donation happens regardless.

Where the money goes

We support organisations in Australia and globally that focus on:

  • Helping people leave unsafe family or relationship situations
  • Domestic violence prevention and recovery
  • Crisis accommodation and rebuilding services

Specific recipient organisations rotate periodically.

How much

We don't publish a percentage or a dollar figure. The amount is real, regular, and proportionate to what the business can sustainably give.

If you want to support these organisations directly — and we'd love it if you did — most of them accept donations on their websites.
