How to Get the Most From a GP Appointment
Hello, you.
Ten minutes goes fast. A little prep means you leave with answers, not regrets in the car park.
BEFORE YOU GO
- Write down your top three concerns, most important first.
- Keep a short diary for two weeks: what happened, when, how bad.
- List every medicine and supplement you take.
- Book a long appointment if you've got a lot to cover. Ask when you book.
IN THE ROOM
- Lead with your most important concern. Don't save it for the doorway.
- Read from your list. Nobody minds.
- Ask: What do you think is going on? What are my options? What happens next?
- Bring someone with you if it helps. They can take notes.
